Supplies, Instructions and Safety

Initial Setup Instructions

DISPLAY/ SAMPLES:
  • Gear Shelf - Smocks, Face Shields and Shoe Covers will be hung/ displayed on the shelf just outside of the Splatter Room
  • Paintbrush Shelf - just inside the hallway of the Splatter Room  (see below) - all brushed must be cleaned, dried and replenished

Spin Art

Frisbee or Canvas
  • White box
  • Sticker to add on the top of the box
  • Pair of gloves kid size
  • 2 5x7 paper
  • Stick the round sticker on the top of the frisbee
  • Add  all supplies into the white box and close
  • Position the Art Camp Sticker on the middle of the top of the box
HOW TO
  • Counselors and Campers must wear gloves to do the craft
  • The machine doesn’t stop right away. When the CAMPer is finished spinning, open the lid slightly, wait for the machine to stop and then open it up all the way.
  • Have some pushpins near the machine, sometimes the paint gets clogged and the pushpin helps to unclog the hole.
  • 15-20 mins drying time, in case customers ask (they always do!)
  • When the CAMPer is finished spinning, Counselors should lift the 5x7 card by the corners - it curls less that way and there is less of a chance you’ll damage the artwork.
  • Write the CAMPers name on all 3 5x7 cards, the back of the canvas OR frisbee and the box. All artwork will start to look similar and this will ensure CAMPers take home their work -- they notice!
  • Before you have them sit down, give them gloves and an apron!
  • Always write the Campers name on the box AND all pieces of artwork.

By Brand

Marriott Hotels = Enriching, creative and modern experiences

  • Add storytelling to your creative projects. Bring imaginary worlds to life with books, creative prompts and scenic props.. Use your completed projects to act out new stories and/or learn about something new.

Delta  = Simply fun

  • Make every craft just a little bit messier! Lean into all the supplies and decor that Campers likely wouldn’t be allowed to use at home

Westin = Wellness

  • Lean into crafts that relieve stress and inspire calm, creativity and happiness. After each craft, explain how carving out time for self expression and fun is also making you healthier!
